How The Setup Social Works

We make the introduction. You see if there’s a spark.

The Setup Social is a different kind of dating event. Instead of spending the night making cold introductions, wandering the room, or trying to decide who to talk to next, we give the evening a little structure. Well before the event, everyone completes a short questionnaire. We use those answers to help make thoughtful introductions throughout the night.

You still decide who you like. You still decide where the conversation goes. We just help you meet the right people.

Before the event

Once you reserve your spot, you’ll complete a questionnaire about who you are, what you’re looking for, and the kinds of people you tend to connect with. You’ll do this well before you arrive so we have time to thoughtfully prepare the introductions for your event.

Your questionnaire must be completed at least 24 hours before the event. Because the evening is built around those answers, anyone who has not completed the questionnaire by the deadline will not be admitted.

There are no perfect answers, and you do not need to overthink it. The goal is simply to give us enough context to make better introductions than chance alone.

At the event

The night unfolds in three rounds, moving from social and low-pressure to more focused one-on-one conversations.

Round 1: Find your group

You’ll start the evening in a small group of people we think you’re likely to enjoy meeting.

This first round is designed to make arriving easier. You do not have to walk into a room full of strangers and figure everything out on your own. You’ll have a place to start, a few people to meet, and a relaxed way to settle into the evening.

There may be romantic chemistry in your group. There may also simply be interesting people and good conversation. Both are a win.

Round 2: Meet someone from your circle

Next, you’ll move into a one-on-one conversation with someone selected from the connections around your group.

By this point, you’ve already had a chance to get comfortable and get a feel for the room. The event becomes a little more focused, while still building on the social context of the first round.

Round 3: Your best match across the room

For the final round, we open things up to the full event. You’ll be introduced one-on-one to someone we think is especially worth meeting, regardless of which group they started in.

It might be someone you noticed earlier. It might be someone you never would have crossed paths with on your own. That’s the point.

How do I know where to go?

We’ll guide you through the night. When it’s time to move, you’ll receive a private notification with the information you need for your next introduction. No awkward searching. No public rankings. No standing around wondering what happens next.

Is this speed dating?

Not really. There are timed rounds and introductions, but the experience is designed to feel more natural and social than traditional speed dating. You begin in a group, the conversations become more focused over time, and the introductions are informed by what you told us before the event.

The goal is not to meet everyone in the room. The goal is to meet a few people who may actually be worth your time.

Does the system decide who I should date?

No. We use your questionnaire to help decide who you meet. That is where the algorithm stops.

We do not decide whether there was chemistry. We do not tell you how you should feel. We do not score your conversations in front of other attendees.

A thoughtful introduction can create an opportunity. The rest is up to you.

What happens after the event?

The event is about real-life connection first. If there’s mutual interest, we’ll make it easy to take the next step. No pressure, no forced outcomes, and no need to perform for the room.

The idea is simple

Most people do not need more profiles to swipe through. They need better opportunities to meet each other in person. That’s what we’re here to create.

We make the introduction. You see if there’s a spark.
